How accurate is the AI grading, really?

Every mark is generated by frontier vision-language AI models, checked against a rubric — either the one your subject teacher provides, or one Slate builds itself from the NCERT textbook and the concept being tested. Nothing is graded "by feel." And nothing is final until your teacher has seen it: every mark shows its reasoning and can be corrected in one click before it reaches a report card. The starting point is consistent and rubric-bound; the teacher's judgement is always the last word.

Does Slate replace teachers, or the CBSE evaluation process?

No. Slate replaces the hours a teacher spends hand-marking, not the teacher's judgement. Grading, evaluation, and report cards remain entirely under your institution's control — Slate proposes the grade and the diagnosis, your subject teachers confirm or correct it. It does not change how CBSE examinations or internal assessments are conducted.

What if a subject teacher doesn't have a rubric ready?

Slate builds one — reasoning through the relevant NCERT chapter and the concept the question is testing, the same way a subject expert would set a marking scheme, before a single booklet is graded. If you'd rather use your own, upload it and Slate grades against that instead.

Is Slate built around the CBSE curriculum specifically?

CBSE has first priority — it's who Slate is built closely with today, for CBSE-affiliated institutions in India and abroad, with the examination builder and grading engine grounded in NCERT textbooks and CBSE marking-scheme conventions.
